Michael Pienaar
Country Manager & CEO

Michael immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2001. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Operations Management at Auckland University and joined Nexans in 2005. He has held various roles in sales and management and brings over 15 years of commercial leadership to the business. His experience in commercial operations enables a sustainable and customer-centric focus for the business.

Glenn Forsyth

Glenn Forsyth
Supply Chain Services Manager

Glenn started with the company as a Mechanical Draughtsman in September 1981. He left the business for a period of time before returning in October 1998 to manage the Supply Chain department. He has held various roles in cable manufacturing, including process design, product development and creation of production management and planning systems. He is currently the Supply Chain Service Manager responsible for overseeing the planning, inventory, procurement, logistics and distribution functions.

David Griffiths

Technical Manager

David has been with the business since 1965, commencing as an apprentice electrician, and has held positions of Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer prior to his appointment as Technical Manager. He has knowledge of the physical, chemical, electrical, properties of cable materials, process technology for the manufacture of cables.

David Skvor

David Skvor
Operations Manager

David is the Operations Manager for Nexans New Zealand and is responsible for all production and manufacturing facets of the business. He started with Nexans in March 2003 as a Production Technician, and continued in this capacity throughout several areas of the factory until being promoted to management in 2011. Prior to joining Nexans he worked in the aviation and steel industries.

Fiona Bilsland

Finance Manager

Fiona joined the Nexans team in September 2011 as the New Zealand Finance Manager. She has previously held a position as a Finance Manager working for a FMCG company. She has also held various other accounting positions within the Finance and Banking sector.

HR Business Partner

Letitica joined the business in 1997 as HR Assistant. She has held various support and management positions within the HR team, and now leads all Human Resource functions for the New Zealand business.

Vanessa Dempsey

Marketing & Communications Manager

Vanessa joined the business in February 2009 and held various roles within the Sales team, largely in the infrastructure and renewables space. In 2014 she commenced as Marketing Executive before expanding the role to encompass both Marketing and Communications in 2016. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Auckland University of Technology and has over 14 years of experience in marketing, advertising, e-learning and design.

Stephen Youngman

Commercial Operations Manager

Stephen joined Nexans in April 2018, and brings 20 years prior experience within the industry in both Finance and Commerical support roles. Stephen recently spent 3 years in America working for the largest tool company in the world in a commercial finance role. With his extensive knowledge of the industry, business processes and analytical skills, he heads up the Commercial Operations function for the business.

Kieran O'Neill

National Sales Manager - Industry, Infrastructure & Pacific

Kieran spent over 10 year in the UK electrical industry where he gained a Mechanical and Technical Apprenticeship before immigrating to NZ in 2001. He joined the company in 2006 as a Cost Engineer in the sales department. In 2010 he took on the role of Customer Services Manager before progressing to National Sales Manager in 2013. Kieran manages projects and sales in the industrial, infrastructure and renewable energy space. He is also responsible for managing Nexans' Pacific Island's customer accounts.

National Sales Manager - Distributors & Installers

James joined the business in 2012, bringing with him over 16 years of experience in the cable industry. He commenced in the role of National Business Development Manager D&I before taking up the role of National Sales Manager D&I in 2013. James' extensive knowledge of the electrical industry sees him managing supply contracts and trade agreements for wholesale and contractor customer's.

Simon Perks

National Sales Manager - Electrical Supply Industry

Simon joined Nexans in April 2012 as Demand Manager before taking on the role of National Sales Manager for utilities and supply networks in August 2015. Simon obtained a Bachelor of Honours in Business Studies at the University of Coventry, and worked for various industrial companies in the UK before immigrating to NZ. He has a diverse experience in a variety of roles ranging from supply chain and procurement to sales and management.
